The symmetry of the body plays a significant role in decreasing your risk of injury and enhancing performance and power. When athletes setup so that the line (orientation) of their shoulders and hips are such that either or both are not aligned square (parallel) to the target line, the body is more prone to injury and performance and power are compromised. The symmetry of the body is particularly important for all athletes.
What is the power angle and how is it related to the body's balance?
The power angle refers to an individual angle of the body created in the athlete's setup, for example golfers and baseball players, to achieve maximum power in their swing. The power angle refers to a particular position of the spine and thigh(and numerous other angles of the body, club or bat) in the athlete's setup position. A research has determined that this angle occurs in multiple positions in the better athlete's setup position and it is maintained throughout their motion. When this angle is set and maintained, the athlete can generate the most power. Our power angle is different in each of us. Thus, everyone's set up is different.
To determine your power angle, all you have to do is stand tall with your feet together with your arms hanging freely at your sides. Now, stay relaxed and rotate your palms forward in the direction facing away from you. The angle of your forearm 90 degrees to the ground is your power angle.

It is easy to set and check your power angle. All you have to do is take a heavy weight and place it across your mid chest and spread your feet into a balanced stance width. Once the weight is positioned on your mid chest, assume a position of spine tilt and knee bend where you feel the least stress on your back. From this position, if you measure the angle of your spine and both thighs 90 degrees to the ground, it will be exactly the same as your forearm measurement 90 degrees to the ground. Not only that, you will have maximum rotational range of motion. Notice the symmetry of the angles of your spine and thighs as you look in a mirror. Great athletes have this symmetry in their address and motion. After you test your range of motion from this setup position, increase or decrease your spine tilt and you will notice that your range of motion diminishes.
For maximum range of motion, power and injury prevention, athletes must have their power angles set in their posture and they must have the appropriate grip size. As a matter of fact, these body angles of symmetry are a natural way to look for balance as well as to prepare for efficient motion and power. And to top it off, you can minimize the chance of injury.

Take Note of these Golf Swing Tips
Most golfers tend to take advice from real experts of the game who graciously hand down their innumerable and invaluable golf swing tips. First on the list of golf swing tips, the golfer must know exactly where to orient his golf swing. One must accurately position oneself in line with the target flag. To do this, when a golfer approaches his ball, he should look out for any leaf, pebble, or broken tee which will serve as a marker for a direct line between the flag and his ball. Afterwards, think of an imaginary line between those two reference points and make your club squarely face this imaginary line. This will ensure you that you are now firmly oriented to begin your golf swing.
The second of the vital golf swing tips concerns the grip. Now there are many ways in which a golfer can hold his golf club, for now this session on golf swing tips will focus on the most basic of golf grips. Put the golf club in your left hand in such a way so that the shaft will lie across the crest of the forefinger. Make sure that club fits under the heel of your left palm and that your left little finger wraps around the grip in order that the club will remain steady at all times. Next, settle your right hand over your left and make certain that your right hand also folds right over your left thumb. To hold the back of the club, position the little finger of your right hand in between the left hand's index finger and ring finger.
Once you know how to grip your golf club, the next of the golf swing tips is adopting the proper stance. First, spread your feet apart to the same width as your shoulder. The shoulders, hips, knees, and feet must be parallel to your target. In order to create the best follow through possible, position the right foot forward from your body at a 90-degree angle to your line of flight, also make your left slightly open to give more space for your follow through. Make your upper torso slightly lean forward, all the while faintly bending your knees to permit more flexibility. Allow a hand's width between the club and your body. To balance the body before swinging, place the weight of your entire body on the balls of your feet, and ensure that your left shoulder is slightly higher than your right because of your grip.
The last of the vital golf swing tips involves the swing itself. The first movement of the golf swing, the backswing, should be initiated by a full rotation of the entire body and not by the hands - which ought to retain a full grip of the club throughout the swing. The back must also remain at the correct angle at all times during the swing. After the backswing, the weight must be pushed from right to left for the downswing. On impact, the hips ought to be turned with your shoulder remaining parallel to the ball. The swing continues it movement until your body faces the target and your right foot slightly moves - this enables a perfect follow through. With a lot of practice, hopefully these golf swing tips should help one attain a perfect golf swing.
